Spend an unforgettable holiday in the enchanting surroundings of Capodimonte (VT).
Beautifully situated directly on Lake Bolsena and only 200 m from the beach, this volcanic lake enchants you with crystal clear water, two
breathtaking islands and a variety of sporting and cultural activities. Etruria, the land of the Etruscans, offers many great excursions and is
thus an ideal starting point for hikers, cyclists and of course lovers of ancient culture(s). In addition, a perfect place for nature lovers as well!
Visit us in Lazio on the border with Tuscany and Umbria.
We only rent apartments of our own, which we present here as an example. Lake Bolsena is an ideal holiday destination for those who are looking for close contact
with nature, who like to enjoy local products such as the extremely delicious Coregone fish or just to soak up the sun and relax. In summer, you can swim in the refreshing cool water
and in the sun on Lake Bolsena every day. Large plane trees adorn the promenade and provide plenty of shade (especially during the hot summer season).
Follow in the footsteps of the Etruscans and discover impressive national museums or brightly painted underground burial chambers. Immerse
yourself in a world full of ancient secrets, in volcanic lakes or just about 40 km away from the sea. Whether you are a motorboat fan, sailor or seasonal surfer,
you will get to know and appreciate the advantages of this terrestrial paradise.
Especially recommended is the annual fireworks, which takes place on August 15 (the so-called ferragosto) and represents a very special spectacle
in Capodimonte. On this date is the holiday Assumption. It is considered one of the most important religious and family holidays in Italy. In addition, August 15 is considered the
hottest summer day in Italy, marking the "turning point of summer".
We offer high quality and comfortable apartments with garden and two balconies in a very relaxed and pleasant environment for a maximum of four people. Experience a unique holiday
and immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of the local population.
We look forward to you.

The village or rather the peninsula Capodimonte has an intact infrastructure that leaves nothing to be desired. From various bars over restaurants to supermarkets, hairdressers, florists or
gift-seller (also for children) or a pharmacy, everything is available, what a decent vacation spot has to offer. During the summer months, shops are also open on Sundays.
Capodimonte is easily reached by car from Rome Fiumicino Airport in about 1.5 hours or by train or car from Pisa Leonardo da Vinci Airport
within approx. 2.5 hours. Coming from the north of Florence or Pisa, you will need about 2 to 2.5 hours by car.
In just 12 km away Montefiascone there is a train connection to Viterbo, Orte, Montefiascone, Tarquinia or
Montalto di Castro; and thus to Rome, Orvieto or Florence.
Just 200 meters from the front door there is a Tabaccaio and a bus station that leads to the provincial capital of Viterbo, to Montefiascone,
Valentano or even to Rome or to the hot sulfur springs to Saturnia.
In addition, there are also two boat and bike rentals and a lot of other recreational activities to entertaining village festivals and various dance
opportunities for young and old right along the promenade or organized by the numerous beach bars.
The Via Francigena, a 900 km long foot pilgrimage route from the Frankish kingdom or from England across the beautiful Italian countryside to Rome to the burial place of the apostles Peter and
Paul, also leads past the Lake Bolsena. The course of the old highway of the so-called Frankenweg based primarily on the diary records of Archbishop Sigerich of Canterbury, who made a pilgrimage
to Rome in 990, in order to take there the legitimate episcopal dignity of the Pope. Therefore, the term "Via Romea" often refers to the goal.
The Via Francigena is made up of paths that make a detour through monasteries, villages and beautiful squares. In the Middle Ages, the Via Francigena was nothing but the Roman main axis between
England and Rome. This itineraries was also used by Napoleon.
The Via Francigena is now very well developed, but this differs in principle from the extremely well-attended pilgrimage route in Spain, the Jackobsweg. The advantage is that you can enjoy
untouched paths alone on the Via Francigena and the people not only marvel at the pilgrims in their adventure, but mostly also helps.
The path is quite well equipped with signage and pilgrimage, so a pilgrimage with a little bit of adventurous spirit is not only recommended, but also easy to realize.
